Shawa complies with The Vermiculite Association Best Practices Program for Asbestos Detection and Control Protocol. This program requires participants to follow specific protocols related to many areas of internal controls. Specifically, the program looks at quality control systems, management and technical training, asbestos control procedures, analytical test procedures, and pre-shipment quality assurance. To ensure the highest standards, we also operate a fully equipped on-site (binocular and polarised light) microscopy laboratory, as an integral component of our fibre management program.
